Lisa Bufano will perform in an upstairs chamber of the Old Mint building at The All Worlds Fair in SF. The old mint, a stunning historical landmark containing its original vaults, is the ultimate site to host what has been predicted to be "the greatest gathering of all of time and space." This immersive experience is more than a performance event or a showcase of west coast's most creative forces and visionaries. This is the event that inspires reality to be stranger than fiction; inviting ambassadors, scientists, alchemists, singers, dancers, sorcerers, inventors and prophetic dreamers from all across the infinite to set up among us.

November 7- December 18, 2011: Theater Residency, Exhibition, and Performances in Northern France

Exhibition: November 15 to December 18, 2011
Body, Prosthesis and Bio-Objects

Art Oriente objet (curators and associated artists) and The University of Artois (Porteur de projet) are presenting partners of Body, Prosthesis and Bio-Objects, an exhibit and international symposium, in conjunction with L'art+toi, Bethune 2011, Capitale regionale de la culture.

The work of the included artists confront boundaries that relate to the body and is relevant to ethical and moral concerns surrounding bio-technical advance:
the naturalistic observation of the degradation of the body (Martin uit den Bogaard), the absolute aestheticization of the body missing (the choreographer Lisa Bufano), to the desire for inter-body communication, or human-animal hybridization (Art Object Oriented) and even human-plant (Jun Takita).

Site Update

I'm in the process of a major website update. I am taking down a lot of old work and replacing it with more current info. But, it will look a bit trim here until I get all the new documentation online. Looking for old info? Try the credits and collaborators page. Also, please enjoy the newly expanded video section, updated performance work details, bio page, and press page. Paintings and Things and an updated CV are on their way..
